Katherine began teaching aqua yoga, land yoga, and meditation in 2011. She is a yoga therapist, Aqua Kriya Yoga Senior Teacher, meditation teacher, Mindful Self-Compassion trained teacher, reiki practitioner, mother, swimmer, and lover of water.

  • Do I have to know how to swim or get my hair wet?

    No. The Aqua Yoga Beginners Series classes are designed for chest depth water. No poses require going underwater.

  • How can I watch a video in the water?

    Through Amazon you can purchase a $6 waterproof phone pouch and for around $30 you can get waterproof Bluetooth headphones. Each class has extensive cueing so eventually you can just follow along with the audio if you like.

  • I'm new to yoga and not very flexible, would I be able to practice along with this series?

    Yes! Each class in this video builds on the previous class. There are also short informational videos in between each Aqua Yoga class to help you understand some of the ideas and pose variations.

  • What kind of pool and equipment do I need for this class?

    This series is best practiced in chest depth water with water temperatures somewhere between 86 and 90 degrees. You will need 2 thin swim noodles.
